Senior Java Developer

Fuser is a web startup that is looking for a Senior Java Developer with the knowledge, motivation and creativity to give the next generation of our website a solid foundation. Fuser is a free website that aims to let users manage all their online communications in one place. From email to social networking to Twitter, the current version of Fuser already does a lot. Future versions will do even more.

Your qualities:

• Strong knowledge of the Java language
• Knowledge of multi-threaded development considerations a must
• Ability to quickly assimilate a relatively large and unfamiliar codebase
• Experience with designing and implementing robust, high performance solutions highly desirable
• Some knowledge of email related protocols such as POP3, IMAP, MIME, etc. desirable
• Ability to analyze the workings of traditional and AJAX-based websites helpful
• JavaScript experience a plus
• Willingness to work additional hours as required
• Must thrive in a fast-paced and fluid environment
• Local candidates only, must be on-site during work hours
• Excellent communication skills

• 90 day contract-to-hire
